8 Healthy Baking Recipes: Delicious & Guilt Free!

You are starting to eat healthy, starting to train, trying really hard to stay on track and then all of a sudden you just can’t resist the temptation and you eat a piece of cake, or even two and you feel guilty, very guilty.

That cake had only empty calories, no protein but was packed with sugar and unhealthy fat. You are starting to wonder if you are facing a lifetime without cake. No, you don’t have to worry! There are always healthy options available. Baking can have healthy variations too. There are many healthy baking recipes these days to help you stay on track, enjoy yourself and enjoy baking too. I will give you 8 of my favourite healthy baking recipes, so you don’t need to regret that you’re living your healthy cake-less lifestyle!

The very first healthy baking recipe.
I’ve used was a Peanut Cookies recipe and it was about 9 years ago. This recipe has its own history and memories too!

Peanut cookies
1 jar natural crunchy  peanut butter

2 free range eggs

3 tbsp extra virgin olive oil

5 scoops protein powder

1-2 tbsp xylitol for taste

Mix peanut butter with eggs, add xylitol if using. Add 1 scoop of protein powder at a time adding a little bit of olive oil and keep mixing well. When the dough is ready, form a ball and flatten it. Bake 15-20  minutes in the oven 180C. Enjoy.


Who doesn’t like chocolate brownies?
Now you can bake healthy and not feel guilty about empty calories because these brownies contain great nutrients too.

Almond brownies
2 free range eggs

100 ml almond milk

50 g almond butter

1 small banana

3 tbsp cocoa powder

100 g ground almonds

2 scoops protein powder or 4 tbsp xylitol

1 tsp baking powder

1 tsp arrow root or 1 tbs rice flour or 1 tbs corn flour

Mix wet ingredients and pour them into mixed dry ingredients. Pour the dough on a baking tray. Bake for about 40 minutes in the oven at 180 C.


Would you like to eat a chocolate cookie but you are not sure if it won’t ruin all your results you got in a gym?

Here’s another healthy baking recipe you will love:

Cocoa almond cookies
300 g ground almonds

20 g  or 1/4 cup cocoa powder

pinch of pink Himalayen salt

1/4 cup melted coconut oil

1/4-1/3 agave nectar or honey

1 tbsp almond butter

dash of vanilla

Heat up the oil with honey and nut butter (on a low heat) until ingredients are well mixed. Add warm ingredients into mixed dry ingredients. The dough must be soft but not wet, if it is too wet, add a little bit more of the ground almonds. Roll the dough into balls and flatten them into cookies. Bake about 15 minutes on a baking tray with baking paper in the preheated oven 180 C.


For all coconut lovers there is a healthy cookie recipe.

Almond and coconut cookies
130 g ground almonds

100 g coconut flakes

70 g honey

25-30 g nut oil

0.5 tsp baking soda

1 tbsp water

40g dark chocolate

Heat up honey and oil. Mix baking soda with water and pour it into warm honey and oil. Ready liquid pour into mixed almonds with coconut flakes. From the ready dough form a ball and flatten it. Bake cookie dough for about 15 minutes or until cookies turn golden in the oven 160C. Melt the dark chocolate and pour it all over ready cookies. Yum!


Chocolate and coffee lovers, there’s something healthy here for you too.

Chocolate coffee cake
10 pitted dates (puree)

1 cup ripe bananas (puree)

3 free range eggs

0.5 cup coconut oil

0.5 cup coconut flour

0.5 cup cocoa powder

1tsp vanilla

1tbs baking soda

0.5 cup strong brewed coffee

pinch of salt

Mix all wet ingredients on a low to medium speed. Add them to well mixed dry ingredients.

Bake in the preheated oven 180C for about 35min.

Gorgeous!


Cinnamon bread

150 g ground oats

30 g oats

2 scoops vanilla protein powder or 2 tbsp extra ground oats and 1 tbsp vanilla

1 tsp baking soda

pinch of salt

0.5 cup xylitol

2 tsp cinnamon

1 free range egg

1 cup almond milk

0.3-0.5 cup apple puree

Mix all wet ingredients and add them to mixed dry ingredients. Pour the dough into bread baking tray and bake for 40 minutes in the oven 180 C


You want something now, you can’t wait and don’t want to wait any longer.
Here it is – a healthy cupcake ready in 2 minutes.

Microwave cupcake

1 free range egg

1tbsp cocoa powder*

1tsp xylitol or 1 tsp honey*

1tsp peanut butter or 1 tsp coconut oil

* instead of cocoa powder and xylitol or honey you can use 1 scoop protein powder

You will need a cup. Break an egg into the cup, add all ingredients and mixed them really well with a fork until all ingredients are dissolved.  Put into microwave for about 35-40seconds depending on microwave power.


Nutty and chewy? You won’t find anything better than this:
Peanut butter fudge

4 scoop protein powder (chocolate flavour tastes best)

90 g flax meal

130 g natural peanut butter (smooth or crunchy)

0.25 cup water

Mix all ingredients adding water at the very end and only as much as really needed.  Roll the dough into a ball or form of cookie and put ready fudge pieces into the fridge for minimum 2 hours.

All these healthy baking recipes contain loads of nutrients but remember as much as they are guilt-free, they still contain calories so eat them in moderation.
